About
Joey Humphrey is an owner, educator and master stylist at Sky Parlor Salon in Raleigh, where he serves as founder and creative director. He founded the salon in 2014 and co-owns it with Aubrey Humphrey. He graduated from UNCW with a degree in marine biology and theatre. After following a mentor's advice into the hair industry, he returned to school at 25 to train in hairstyling. He holds a cosmetology license and a teaching license. Earlier, he was co-owner and business partner of Atomic Salon LLC. He left in 2014 to start Sky Parlor Salon. He leads the creative vision for the salon's cut and color services, focusing on customized, transformative styles. He is not currently accepting new clients.
