Joely Kaufman, MD

Joely Kaufman, MD, is Director of general and cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery at Skin Associates of South Florida in Coral Gables. She is board-certified in dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She spent seven years as an Assistant Professor in the University of Miami's department of dermatology and cutaneous surgery and now holds a voluntary clinical Associate Professor position there, teaching residents and fellows injection and laser techniques. At the Skin Research Institute she has been principal investigator on several dermatology trials, including pivotal FDA trials covering neuromodulators, fillers and aesthetic devices. She also consults for companies developing new aesthetic products. She speaks nationally and internationally about toxins, fillers and lasers and has written and co-written peer-reviewed papers on aesthetic technologies. Her work has been featured in CNN, the New York Times, Vogue and on the Dr. Oz show. She is a past president of the Miami Dermatology Society, chairs the procedural survey committee of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, sits on its research committee, and is currently President of the Florida Academy of Dermatology. The practice describes her as a leader in cosmetic dermatology.
