Joe Vitale

Joe Vitale owns Gerard Anthony Salon, where he works as a stylist and colorist. He has spent more than 25 years in hair. Early in his career he was a member of the hair team for makeover segments on the Rikki Lake Show and Montel Williams. Since then he has done hair for magazine photo shoots and at New York Fashion Week and Bridal Week, and his work has been featured on the covers of American Salon, MR, Modern Salon, American Spa, COVER and Sputnik Magazine. Among the people he has worked with are Joy Behar, Martha Plimpton, Jon Cryer, Margo Martindale, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. About 15 years ago he brought in the Milbon Japanese thermal straightening and relaxing system, and he was one of the first stylists in Manhattan to offer it. He first crossed paths with Joseph Patti more than twenty years ago, when both worked at an Upper West Side salon.
