Joe Gurule, PA-C, MS

Joe Gurule, PA-C, MS, is a physician assistant at Las Vegas Dermatology. He has been licensed for 42 years.

He has worked full-time in dermatology for over 24 years, after earlier work in adult primary care, urgent care and neurosurgery. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska in 2002.

He was trained in the practice's lasers and was an early adopter of several laser systems. His focus is treating skin cancers, and he enjoys caring for more mature patients.

Outside the clinic, he is adjunct faculty at Touro University in Henderson and a former president and secretary of the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants. He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has lectured at national meetings, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Veterans Academy of Physician Assistants. He has also lectured the medical staff at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.
