About
Jenny Patro founded Pearlmoon Collective and holds a license as an acupuncturist (L.Ac.). She is also a licensed massage therapist. She passed the California State Board Exam in January 2007, and since that year she has worked on women's and children's health. Her training began at The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, and she then completed a state-approved tutorial internship under Bob Levine, L.Ac., in Berkeley. For years she studied with the Taoist teacher Liu Ming until his passing, and from him she learned to apply the Tong shu almanac to guidance on diet, sleep, meditation and Chinese astrology. Clinically, she interned at Children's Hospital in Oakland and worked as a staff acupuncturist alongside Dr. Elisa Song, M.D., a pediatrician at Whole Child Wellness. She later served as staff acupuncturist for Dr. Li Fang Liang, M.D., L.Ac., treating infertility; in that role she reviewed more than 1,000 high-risk cases and contributed to Dr. Liang's book on fertility, Contemporary Gynecology. Her focus includes hormone balancing for PCOS, acupuncture support for IUI and IVF, and endometriosis-related pain. She also works with perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms such as insomnia, hot flashes and emotional unrest, and offers facial rejuvenation with acupuncture and Chinese medicine, aimed at natural-looking facelift results. She considers how the body's systems interconnect when identifying the patterns that affect a woman's life.
