Jennifer Gularson

Jennifer Gularson is a physician assistant practicing functional and aesthetic medicine at Your Best Life With Jennifer in Rockville. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and she is a board certified physician assistant. She has the IFMCP credential as a functional medicine practitioner and has over 20 years of patient-centered clinical practice. She joined the Osteopathic Center for Healing in November 2019.

Early in her career she completed the Schering Corporation Fellowship Program in Liver Disease in 1999. During the fellowship she helped establish and run a hepatitis C clinic in Frederick, Maryland, treating under-served and under-insured patients in Western Maryland. She then worked as a primary care PA at The Washington Clinic from 2000, and from 2003 served as lead PA at an oncology practice in Chevy Chase, supporting cancer patients and their families during chemo. From 2007 she was clinical director at Restorasis Health and Sylvana Med Spa for twelve years. She has also served as an aesthetic trainer for physicians, PAs, CRNPs and RNs on the East Coast.

Her clinical work centers on women in perimenopause, menopause and midlife, and on men who need testosterone care. Plans aim to optimize hormone, thyroid and adrenal function through lifestyle, nutrition and supplements, with traditional medication when needed. Her functional medicine approach also considers genetics, environment, emotions, beliefs and social relationships. She completed functional medicine training through The Institute for Functional Medicine and training through the American Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine.

On the aesthetic side, she works with dermal fillers and neuromodulators with a focus on a natural look.
