About

Jen is the founder and owner of Allyn Aesthetics in Mt. Juliet, where she works as a nurse practitioner and leads the licensed aestheticians, nurses and support staff. She has more than 20 years of medical experience and became a nurse in 2004. She spent seven years in critical care, including bedside work in the surgical intensive care and trauma unit at UCSD Medical Center. In 2011 she moved to Nashville to join Vanderbilt University's Emergency Nurse Practitioner program, then worked as an emergency room nurse practitioner from 2013 to 2023 and spent five years on Vanderbilt's teaching staff.

Her training includes a Master of Science in Nursing Education, post-master's training at Vanderbilt completed in 2013, and a doctorate in nursing from Vanderbilt earned in 2016. She is dual board-certified as a nurse practitioner in acute care and family practice, with a board specialization in emergency medicine. Further training covers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, sexual dysfunction and medical weight loss, and she treats continuing education as an ongoing part of staying current in aesthetic medicine.

In aesthetics, her focus includes neuromodulator and dermal filler injection, medical-grade skin care and laser therapy, and platelet-rich plasma and fibrin (PRP/PRF) treatments. She also offers anti-aging options such as Pure Plasma, Ultherapy and biostimulators. She conducts consultations for EvolveX, creates each treatment plan, and holds a consultation before a Hydrotox treatment to hear concerns and assess needs. She holds that good results should not show visible signs of work. Her interest in women's health led her to start Girl Talk Tuesday, a meeting on pelvic health and wellness, and she works to reduce stigma around female pelvic concerns.
