About
Jeffrey Sweat, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who runs J. Sweat Plastic Surgery in Sacramento. Before starting his own private practice, he spent several years at Mercy Medical Group, where he ran a reconstructive and cosmetic practice, and he left there in spring 2015. His training started with undergraduate studies at Kansas State University, where he majored in Life Sciences and minored in Business and Spanish. He then attended medical school in Wichita, Kansas, completed a general surgery residency at the University of Kansas-Wichita in 2006, and earned board certification in general surgery in 2007. He finished a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at UC Davis in 2009. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is listed as a candidate for the American Society of Aesthetic Surgeons. He reviews the photos from the surgical coordinator's consultation and gives a recommendation. He also carries out the formal pre-surgery exam and settles the surgical plan with each patient.
