Jeffrey A. Rapaport, MD

Jeffrey A. Rapaport, MD, founded Rapaport Hair Institute and the Cosmetic Skin & Surgery Center, where he serves as medical director. He is chairman emeritus at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. His practice in dermatology and dermatologic surgery dates from July 1, 1982.

He was a Phi Beta Kappa recipient as an undergraduate at Emory University in Atlanta and earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. Training followed at Grady Memorial Hospital (internship) and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (dermatology residency), where he was chief resident from 1981 to 1982. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of several dermatology and laser societies. Castle Connolly has named him a Top Doctor for nearly two decades, and he has been elected to Who's Who in America.

His clinical work spans medical, cosmetic and hair restoration dermatology, skin cancer detection, laser medicine and regenerative therapies. He works in platelet-rich plasma treatment for hair loss, offered to men and women either alone or combined with vitamins, peptides, LED light and hormonal modulation. He also teaches PRP injection techniques to other physicians, contributed a chapter to PRP and Microneedling in Aesthetic Medicine, and holds three U.S. patents.
