Jeff Nance started his career in Newport Beach, California, in 1989. He trained at Main Street Cosmetology and at Carlton Hair International, and is a licensed cosmetologist. He then spent more than 20 years at Salon Gregorie's at Fashion Island, where he was hand-selected for the artistic team in the 2000s and completed the formal teacher-training program under master stylist Dusty Symington.

He became a Formula 18 Educator in the 2010s and teaches the brand's three-phase bond repair protocol across California. He is a certified Formula 18 Brand Ambassador and Educator, and a certified Formula 18 specialist. He is one of the leading Formula 18 specialists in Northern California and one of Southern California's leading specialists.

His specialties include anatomical cutting, balayage, grey blending, color correction and structural reshaping. He also cuts curly hair dry, mapping the curl pattern first, and offers coastal California color, including Orange County blonde balayage and beach wave styling in Costa Mesa, along with bridal and wine country wedding color in Santa Rosa and Napa. He works with clients of all hair types and lengths on both women's and men's cuts.
