Jeff Birchall

Jeff Birchall, M.D., owns Dermacare and serves as its medical director across five locations. He founded the practice after 16 years of family medicine with PennElm Medical Group, now part of Scripps Clinic Medical Group. He earned his medical degree at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary and completed his residency at Foothill Hospital, also at the University of Calgary. He is board certified in family medicine and has more than 25 years of medical experience, over a decade of it in cosmetic treatment. His work is non-surgical cosmetic care, covering BOTOX and JUVÉDERM injections, Sculptra Aesthetic, Fraxel laser treatment for skin texture, tone and sun damage, and CoolSculpting. He gives medical direction for Dermacare's BOTOX treatments and oversees body contouring at the practice. He holds Allergan Black Diamond status for BOTOX and JUVÉDERM, a tier based on treatment volume rather than board certification, and has been recognized as a Black Diamond provider for Fraxel. He is also a Top 25 Colorescience Partner, a Top 100 provider for Sculptra Aesthetic and a Premier Partner for CoolSculpting. He treats patients in person every day and sees them at all five locations. Schedules vary by day and office, so each front desk can confirm when he is in. Each visit starts with what the patient wants changed, then a review of skin, history and goals. He often suggests combining treatments over several months instead of a single procedure, and tells patients plainly when a treatment is not a good fit. He researches new technology and adopts it as it becomes available. He belongs to the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the Allergan Advisory Board.
