About

Jay Phillips is the Color Director at Salon A7 and has more than 13 years in the beauty industry. He focuses on color placement and on research and development of color formulations. He studied at Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica. Earlier in his career he was designated International Color Director for a German hair color company, and he tested the industry's first Organic Essence hair color. He was also part of the final North American amalgamation for Schwarzkopf Professional. After corporate work, he chose to return to salon work. He is skilled at color correction and at restoring over-processed hair.
