Jason K. Potter

Jason K. Potter is a plastic surgeon who owns his practice. He holds double board certification, both as a Diplomate, from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His medical degree is from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and his dental degree is from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle. His advanced training in general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery and plastic surgery was completed at UT Southwestern.

On the academic side, he has been an active clinical faculty member in the Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center since January 2008, and an adjunct associate professor at Baylor School of Dentistry in Dallas since the same month. From July 2005 to December 2007 he was a clinical assistant professor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland. Since August 2008 he has served as craniomaxillofacial clinical faculty at AO North America, and he lectures locally and nationally. His hospital affiliations include Baylor Healthcare System, Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Harris Methodist Southlake Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, and Texas Institute for Surgery.

His clinical focus includes microvascular breast reconstruction (DIEP), implant breast reconstruction and complex head and neck reconstruction. He also performs aesthetic procedures such as breast augmentation, breast lifts and reductions, facelifts, nose reshaping and eyelid rejuvenation. For breast reconstruction, he goes through each option with the patient, including benefits, limitations, recovery and how each fits their needs.
