Janis Nguu

Janis Nguu is the owner and manicurist at Nail Kitchen by Janis in Los Angeles, and she founded the salon to offer a safer, more sustainable and cruelty-free alternative to conventional nail salons. She spent more than a decade as a pastry chef, baking desserts and wedding and celebration cakes, and then spent 11 years baking desserts before moving into nail care. She has more than 10 years of experience in intricate nail design and hand crafting. Her specialty is detailed nail art, and clients across the northeast side of Los Angeles seek her out for it. Her work centers on unique pieces made with close attention to detail, a principle she was taught through mentorship.
