Jamie is a stylist at Karina Hair & Beauty and has been self-employed there since 2019. Before that, she spent 17 years at AuCourant Salon on Mercer Island, building a clientele on a commission basis. Earlier in her career she worked at a small local salon in Newcastle after graduating, became its salon manager by age 20, and spent a short time at Lewis Fox Salon downtown.
Her training started at Gene Juarez beauty school, which she completed in 2000, and continued under local color specialist Susie Powers. She is certified twice under Vidal Sassoon in precision cutting. Her focus is color, highlighting and cutting, and she has used Schwarzkopf color for the last 25 years.
