James Roldan, MD (Dr. James)

James Roldan, MD, is a board-certified family physician who founded Artist MD. His medical degree is from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and he completed his family medicine residency through Florida State University College of Medicine at Lee Health. He also earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a focus on health management and policy, from the University of Miami. Earlier in his career, he carried out research in the nutraceutical industry in Rehovot, Israel.

He has completed advanced aesthetic training in the United States and Brazil. His approach to aesthetic treatment takes into account facial anatomy, proportion, the layers of tissue, and how skin changes with age. He also contributes as a Portuguese-speaking medical contributor for Record TV Américas, sharing health information with the Brazilian community.

He practices concierge medicine, which allows more time and ongoing continuity than a standard appointment. He received the 2026 AFMRD Outstanding Resident for Advocacy Award and, during residency, the Lee Health Patient Care Puzzle Award (2024) and the Outstanding Resident for OB/GYN Award (2024).
