James G. Chelnis, M.D.

James G. Chelnis, M.D. serves as a Medical Director at Alchemy 43. He is an oculofacial plastic surgeon practicing in New York City, treating the face and neck, and he is board certified in oculofacial plastic surgery. He has been named among the Top 10 Best Plastic Surgeons, listed as a Super Doctors Rising Star and included in Top Doctors as seen in the New York Times, and he has received several teaching awards.

He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed medical school and ophthalmology training at the Ross Eye Institute and SUNY Buffalo, followed by subspecialty training at Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee.

He is an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai Hospital and New York Ear Infirmary. His lectures cover facial reconstruction, aesthetic treatments and periocular disease, and he has presented across the United States and abroad, including in Sydney and Osaka.
