James D. Namnoum, MD

James D. Namnoum, MD is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a partner at Atlanta Plastic Surgery, P.C. He also serves as CEO of AYA Medical Spa. He holds Georgia and New York State medical licenses and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has more than 25 years of clinical experience and serves patients in Atlanta and beyond.

He earned a bachelor of arts from Williams College and a medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a breast surgery fellowship in 1996 under Carl R. Hartrampf, Jr., M.D. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

His focus includes breast augmentation, management of implant-related complications such as symmastia and malposition, mastopexy with short hidden scars, and breast reconstruction, including reconstruction with implants, tissue flaps and hybrid approaches. He also performs gynecomastia surgery, breast rejuvenation after weight loss, body contouring, and facial procedures such as facelifts, eyelid surgery and facial fat grafting. He spent more than eight years as an investigator for Allergan, studying FDA-approved breast implants.

Beyond the practice, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Emory University School of Medicine, a Traveling Professor for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and co-director of the Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium. He founded and chairs the Pink Ribbon Story Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting breast cancer survivors. He received a 2001 Best Paper Award from the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and has authored or co-authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
