James Chan

Dr. James Chan holds dual board certification in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and serves as medical director of Réviance. His known areas include facelifts, rhinoplasty, Asian facial plastic surgery and complex revision cases. He is known for advanced surgical techniques.

His clinical focus covers facelift and neck rejuvenation, functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, fat grafting and ear reshaping, and includes upper and lower blepharoplasty. He treats patients from Clackamas, Portland and other Oregon communities, and offers both plastic surgery and medical spa treatments.

He earned a bachelor's degree in biological science with honors from the University of Chicago and trained at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed an otolaryngology residency at Cleveland Clinic and a one-year facial plastic surgery fellowship at Stanford University. He has served as an assistant clinical professor at Stanford University Medical Center and as an attending surgeon at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center.

His two board certifications are from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He holds licenses from the Oregon Medical Board and the California Medical Board, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Castle Connolly has named him a Top Doctor in Portland every year since 2010, a recognition that places him among the top 7% of American doctors.
