About
Jamal Hammadi owns MissionWell Collective, where he works as a stylist and colorist. His hairstyles focus on texture, shape and movement, and he plans each look around the client's face shape, how their hair moves and how they live day to day.
He trained in Paris under Odile Gilbert for several seasons in the early 2000s. Earlier mentors included Louis Licari, a Beverly Hills salon owner.
His work has taken him internationally, with runway looks for Chanel, Christian Dior and John Galliano, and styles that have appeared on the covers of Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair. He has also worked with Chanel, Dior and Hermes.
He launched the Hamadi Organics hair product line in 2004 and has co-created conscious beauty products during his career. He later returned to San Marino, California, to open the Mission Street salon.
