Owner of Hair by J Lovell, a hair studio in Chicago at Sola Salon Studios. The studio opened in spring 2021, after work at Fox Hair in Chicago from 2008 to 2021.
Training started at Pivot Point Academy, where the cosmetology program was completed in 2007, the same year work in a Chicago salon began. A college degree in business marketing is also held. Ouidad certification as a Curly Hair Specialist was earned in 2009.
