Idalia

Idalia founded La Fama Salon & Spa, where she serves as CEO and creative director. She opened her first salon straight out of beauty school, at age 20, and has spent more than 25 years in the industry. Earlier work took her through opening and managing a number of salons and spas in New Jersey and the Dominican Republic. She also served as an educator for Alter Ego, teaching licensed cosmetologists and salons cutting methods and treatments. She is a licensed cosmetologist. Training includes Alter Ego, Alfaparf, Tec Italy, Cosmo Academy, Aveda Strictly Business and Alterna Academy. Her certifications are DEVA Inspired Certified Stylist, Alter Ego Color Certified, AlfaParf Color Training, Lendan Color Certified and Cosmo Color Certified. New clients who want expert guidance meet with her to be matched with the designer who suits them best. She also books classes, workshops and trade shows so the salon's colorists and stylists stay up to date on techniques and treatments.
