About
IC Zay is the founder of IC Hair in Lynnwood, Washington, working as a braider, loctician, and business educator. Hair work started at 15, when braiding classmates before school, after school, and whenever possible. At 16, the work ran from a room inside a nail salon in Everett, and at 17 it moved into a barbershop, where skills and client relationships kept developing.
The private studio opened in October 2025 and moved into a larger suite by April 2026. The focus is custom braided designs and loc services. Clients range from children and adults to athletes and creatives, and extra care goes to tender-headed clients and people who feel nervous about their hair appointment.
Beyond the chair, the work includes teaching a Retwist Essentials course. Barbicide certified.
