Howard Pyo

Howard Pyo is the Chief Executive Officer of Pyo Clinic and a board-certified family medicine physician. He also serves as hospice director for Mega Hospice, and he has clinical and hospice care experience. His background includes primary care, urgent care, hospitals and nursing homes.

He completed premedical studies at Harvard University and earned a diploma there. He trained at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, for medical school, then completed a medical internship at Chino Valley Medical Center in Chino, California. His family medicine residency was at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in New York City, and he is pursuing an Executive Masters in Public Health at Yale University. He is licensed by the California Osteopathic Medical Board.

He chairs several committees at College Medical Center in Long Beach, California, including nutrition, pharmacy and therapeutics, infection control, and prevention. Earlier, he served as CIR union leader for medical residents at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. He speaks English, Korean and Japanese.
