Hoon Chung (鄭 勲)

Hoon Chung is a dermatologist and physician at NYC Midtown Hifuka. After graduating from Yonsei University, Hoon Chung worked in pediatrics and emergency medicine before training in dermatology. The residency was completed in the Department of Dermatology at University of Tokyo Hospital, and Hoon Chung is a certified dermatologist with the Japanese Dermatological Association.

In Tokyo, he opened a dermatology clinic. For six years he ran an acne specialist clinic in the Department of Dermatology at Toranomon Hospital.

He earned a Master's in clinical dermatology from St Thomas's Hospital, King's College London, with a thesis on atopic dermatitis, and a Master's in virology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, with a thesis on cancer and viruses. He was a research fellow at St John's Institute for Dermatology, King's College London, and in the Department of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. He holds medical licenses in South Korea, Japan and the United States.
