Hakan Kaygisiz

Hakan is a co-owner and hair stylist at Salon Charisma in Washington, D.C., and has been involved with the salon since 2011, when he helped establish it. He brings about 30 years of experience as a hair stylist, including years at luxury salons across the globe, and earlier spent many years at Toka Salon in Georgetown and in Manhattan.

He trained in Istanbul. His work centers on custom color with seamless blending, including bespoke color and highlights, and he is known for luxury blow-dries that build red-carpet volume. He styles each client's look around their lifestyle.

He served as stylist for First Lady Laura Bush during the two terms of the Bush administration, while she was living in the White House. Many of his clients have stayed with him for decades, and he aims for each visit to leave them polished and refreshed.
