Greg Saumure

Greg Saumure is the founder and master stylist at GS Hair, and works as both a stylist and a colorist. He began Vidal Sassoon training in 1984 and graduated from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica after a 1600-hour, 44-week course. He also completed the stylist assistant program at Paragon Academy in Sacramento.

His career includes time at Paragon Academy, where he helped develop a new curriculum and worked as an instructor, and work as an educator and platform artist for Paragon and Goldwell International. He opened his first salon in 2005 and ran a Sacramento salon for over a decade, which grew into the city's largest privately held salon. That salon earned KCRA 3's A-List 'Best Salon' in its first year.

Greg specializes in precision haircutting and advanced color design. Creative awards include Hair Games Silver. He has shown his work on the Long Beach Hair Show mainstage, and Sacramento Magazine and BAM Magazine (Los Angeles) have both featured it. He is asked by schools to lecture and give demos at training events, and he trained hundreds of stylists in Sacramento at GS Hair.

His clients range from local newscasters and community leaders to national artists and models. His cosmetology license was transferred to North Carolina.
