Goretti Ho Taghva

Goretti Ho Taghva is a board-certified plastic surgeon who founded LEA Plastic Surgery, which she owns, and practices at its Newport Beach location. She holds surgical privileges at Saddleback Memorial Hospital. She earned an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and a medical degree from Brown University, then trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at USC. She is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has close to two decades of experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. After residency she trained in Asian aesthetic surgery in Korea, and has since trained alongside surgeons in Korea, Japan and Thailand, studying methods suited to different anatomy and aesthetic goals.

Her clinical focus includes eyelid surgery and blepharoplasty, endoscopic minimally invasive procedures, deep plane facelifts, endoscopic brow lifts, breast lifts, full facial rejuvenation, and Western and Asian rhinoplasty. She has performed endoscopic breast augmentation for more than ten years, and her endoscopic brow lifts are done at the GALEA Center in Newport Beach. Her fat transfer work includes nano fat grafting and Puregraft procedures. She provides aesthetic and regenerative care for women in perimenopause and menopause, working with board-certified hormone specialists and endocrinologists on hormonal care. Consultations focus on a patient's goals and facial structure, and each plan is individualized. She is one of a select group of US surgeons trained in the deep plane technique and one of the few women in her specialty. She is a nationally recognized Super Doctor.

She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty Expert Panel and sits on the Business Advisory Board of RealSelf. Her peer-reviewed research appears in Annals of Plastic Surgery and Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, and she has presented to the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Plastic Surgery Research Council. She writes The Marking Pen, a Substack on ethics and integrity in aesthetic medicine.
