About
George Ferrer owns XL Salon, where he works as master stylist, and has run the business for more than 26 years. He started an apprenticeship with Yosh Toya at Yosh for Hair in 1985 and spent roughly eight further years working for Toya, performing alongside him on stage at hair shows around the United States. He later served Redken Corporation, training salon teams in color and presenting on stage at hair shows as a platform artist. His color training includes study with Beth Minardi, Roy Peters and Tom Dispenza, and he has toured salons in England, Spain, Italy, China, France and Germany to observe fashion trends. He focuses on hair design and color. He works with clients of all backgrounds, men and women alike, across the San Francisco Peninsula. He stays current with shifting trends and advanced color methods, and he supports Aveda's philosophy and environmental mission.
