About
Gail Coughlin is the sole owner and lead stylist at Elevate, working behind the chair since 2002. Precision cutting is her foundation, and she is known for mixing street-style looks with polished, urban shapes. She has taught for Rusk Design Force and the Chromastics color team. Six times she has received the Presidential Scholarship from Cosmetologists Chicago, and she is also a recipient of the Joseph L. Weir Memorial Scholarship from the Professional Beauty Association. She is certified in Head Shape Matters and Barbicide. Her work includes photo shoots for the NBA and Jane Iredale Cosmetics, makeovers for Good Day Live, and backstage work at some of the largest hair conventions in the world. A Wednesday Journal article from October 2020 profiled her. She is available Monday through Friday, 9 to 4.
