Gabriela Ortiz

Gabriela Ortiz is the owner of Glam by Gabi and a San Diego hair and makeup artist. She specializes in bridal hair and makeup and has worked in the beauty industry for 16 years, including five in the bridal industry.

Her training began in 2007 at Paul Mitchell the School of San Diego, where she was on the Design Team. She received a cosmetology license in 2009 and did hair work for a few years before moving into makeup. In between, she worked as a beauty advisor for several retailers and took freelance jobs.

In 2017 she joined Sephora as a part-time seasonal employee and later worked there as a color artist for about two years, becoming a certified artist through Sephora along the way. She started the Glam by Gabi website in 2019 and went fully independent. Alongside bridal work, she creates Halloween and other spooky looks.
