About
Gabriela opened The Skyn Bar in 2013 in San Francisco's Mission District. As the salon's skincare specialist, she is well versed in skin care products and their ingredients, formulation included. She trained at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, completed advanced esthetics coursework, and studied holistic health coaching with Barbara O'Neill. She holds a Health Coach certification and is certified in Medical Intuition through Tina Zion. She once built a skincare line of her own, which has since been discontinued.
Her approach begins with a whole-person read of the skin, looking past surface issues toward habits that support it, with education and trust at the center. In treatments she draws on relaxation and nervous system balancing methods, among them sound frequency work.
