About

Gabriel Chiu is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who founded Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery and leads its surgical team. He is double board certified by the American Board of Physician Specialties and the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He has practiced as a surgeon for more than 25 years.

He earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology and immunology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1989. In 1996 he received a Doctor of Osteopathy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. His surgical training took him to Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, Michigan, for an internship, then to a general surgery residency at Detroit Riverview Hospital, and to Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Ohio, where he served as chief resident in general surgery. He completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was Chief Fellow from 2002 to 2003, and he also trained as a fellow at the Valhalla campus of New York Medical College.

He performs breast, body and facial procedures, among them tummy tuck, liposuction, thigh lift and Brazilian butt lift. His work is known for surgical precision and natural-looking results, and his patients include celebrities, royalty, executives and people from around the world. He is a renowned surgeon and one of the top surgeons in the world. He has won 18 consecutive Patients Choice Awards from 2008 through 2025, appeared on Los Angeles magazine's 2025 Best of Beauty list, and was named a Top Plastic Surgeon by Haute Living.

Consultations are unhurried. He gets to know each patient and answers concerns and questions before any surgery. Together they go over skin quality, anatomy, surgical and non-surgical options, the pros and cons of each, and realistic expected results. Patients can start with a conference call with him before an in-person evaluation. He also reviews recovery choices, which may include recovery at home, visiting nursing, an aftercare facility or an extended hospital stay. He prefers the least invasive techniques available and adopts new technology as older methods are phased out.
