Eva Scrivo

Eva Scrivo founded the salons and the Eva Scrivo product line, and owns both. She started cosmetology school at seventeen, then worked in fashion and television in Toronto, London and Milan before settling in New York. She has more than thirty years of expertise. She also represented the United States at L'Oreal Professionnel's World Bridal Trends event in Paris. Her work spans hair styling, color, makeup and teaching. She shapes cuts to suit each client's facial features and uses highlights and lowlights to build depth and dimension. She is known for The Painted Cut and the Color Amplifying Glazes, and for makeovers that draw clients from across the country. She has served as lead colorist for New York Fashion Week shows for several designers and has worked on editorial shoots with photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Bruce Weber and Elliott Erwitt. She trains salon staff in the UnCut artistry she developed, leads an advanced academy for hairdressers, and sees clients at the Pound Ridge location alongside the New York stylists. She was the resident beauty expert on NBC's Martha for several years and hosted the weekly Beauty Talk radio show on Sirius/XM for six years. She wrote Eva Scrivo on Beauty (Atria Books, 2011) and contributed beauty and style content to Younger in 8 Weeks (Rodale, 2016). She has consulted for L'Oreal, Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Guthy-Renker, and speaks at industry events such as the American Beauty Show.
