Eva C. Pacheco, MD

Eva C. Pacheco, MD, owns Belleza Med Spa and also works there as a physician. She has worked as a doctor in New Mexico for three decades. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Washington State University and a medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Her post-graduate training took her to Louisville, Kentucky: she completed a family practice internship at the University of Louisville, followed by a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Amelia Brown Frazier Rehabilitation Center. Earlier, she served as Medical Director and chair of the Quality Council at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Albuquerque, ran Spinal Cord Clinics across Navajo Nation sites in New Mexico and Arizona, and was Medical Director of the Navitas Cancer Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque. Her current clinical work centers on physical medicine and rehabilitation and independent medical examinations. She is a past president of the New Mexico Hispanic Medical Association and a past Vice President of the Brain Injury Association of New Mexico. From 1997 to 2003 she was New Mexico State Representative to the Council of State PM&R Society, and she chaired the Hispanic Latino Health Advisory Council at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center School of Medicine. Her memberships include the Greater Albuquerque Medical Association, the New Mexico Medical Association and the American Medical Association. At the spa, her injectable work includes Botox, JUVÉDERM filler and Kybella. She also places filler in the face and other body areas, and gives off-label Botox at other sites. Permanent makeup is a major focus. She is the first physician permanent makeup artist in New Mexico and is among the few artists in the state offering areola and nipple tattooing for cancer survivors. She also corrects abnormal or faded color left by other artists' permanent makeup. Clients who wish to see it can view the sterile single-use needle before a permanent makeup procedure.
