Essam Khraizat, MD

Essam Khraizat, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist who has practiced since 1999 and co-founded Michigan Women's Care in 2006, where he continues to practice. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Patient testimonials on the practice's site describe him delivering babies, including high-risk pregnancies, and performing surgery, and he is expertly trained in routine and complex gynecologic surgical procedures. He trained at the University of Michigan Dearborn, where he earned a bachelor's degree in microbiological studies, then at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and completed a four-year obstetrics and gynecology residency at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center. After residency he served for more than four years as Assistant Director of that residency program, and he was Chief Administrative Resident in his final year. He received an AAGL award for excellence in minimally invasive surgery at the end of residency, a National Council on Residency Education Best Teaching Faculty Award in 2005, and several resident-teaching and exam awards during residency.
