Esperanza Rodriguez McFarland

Dentist Esperanza Rodriguez McFarland owns Esperanza A. Rodriguez DDS PC, a Bronx dental office where she has treated patients since 2004. She has cared for Bronx patients for more than 20 years.

Her education began with a Doctor in Dental Surgery from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic, followed by endodontic study at Universidad Pedro Henríquez Ureña. She then studied at New York University College of Dentistry as an advanced student and finished in 1995. Her further training includes the Sirona dental laser, advanced bone grafting, aligner therapy, myofascial pain treatment, and facial aesthetics and rejuvenation. She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Pierre Fauchard Honoree.

Her New York licenses cover conscious sedation, orthodontic treatment, implant placement and advanced endodontic treatment. Her main areas are dental implants, sedation dentistry, root canal treatment and other endodontic work, and facial aesthetics. Sedation is set to suit each patient's anxiety, planned treatment and health history, and she reviews medical history and current medications beforehand. Her treatment planning for Emface and Exion draws on dental training in facial anatomy and jaw function. Her specialties include jaw function, muscle tension and bite evaluation.

Outside the practice, she is a past president of the Hispanic Dental Association New York Chapter, a trustee of the Hispanic Dental Association, and an Advisory Board member at Hostos Community College. In 2012 she was featured as the face of a Colgate campaign shown at the Multicultural Oral Health Summit in Boca Raton.
