Erin Drakeford

Erin Drakeford is a hairstylist in Atlanta. She has spent 15 years in hairstyling, completing cosmetology training at Paul Mitchell and graduating in 2008. Her salon work includes several Atlanta salons, a boutique in New York City and a rockabilly barbershop in Brooklyn. She has also done hair styling on film sets. Her specialties include men's haircuts, retro fades, chic and shaggy bobs, and layered bed-head looks. She is also a painter and installation artist. She holds a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Georgia, earned in 2003, and studied art and history in Cortona, Italy. She began showing her work publicly in 2018, with mixed-material paintings and installations included in group and solo exhibitions across Atlanta and nearby areas. She has organized group shows at Echo Contemporary, Arts Beacon Gallery and South River Arts Studios, teaches expressive painting classes and workshops at Arts Beacon Studios, and runs Art Cult evenings that bring musicians and artists together. Her work has been featured in Create! Magazine, the Candyfloss blog, I Like Your Work magazine, the Art Mums United podcast and WABE City Lights.
