Erica Howard

Erica Howard is a stylist at Magnolia Curl Bar. She began working toward becoming a curl specialist around 2014 and started her formal curl training with Devacurl as a certified stylist in the Devacut program. Her education also includes time learning from several curl specialists, among them Leysa Carrillo, Loni Jean, Rebecca Haehnle, Aaron Scott Lacey, and Aeleise of Cut It Kinkys.

She approaches each head as its own case rather than cutting every client the same way. Visits begin with a thorough consultation, in which she gets to know the client and listens closely to the words they use to describe what they want, then builds a solution from those cues.

She identifies what a client's hair needs at the time and blends several techniques to reach the client's goals.
