Eric F. Bernstein, M.D., M.S.E.

Eric F. Bernstein, M.D., M.S.E. holds the roles of Medical Center Director and Director of Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology at the practice. His degrees are an M.D. and an M.S.E. Laser medicine, laser surgery and laser technology form the core of his work, and he holds more than 20 issued and pending laser technology patents in the United States and other countries. He chairs the Medical Advisory Board of Candela Laser Corporation and serves on the Medical Advisory Boards of CoolSculpting and Solta, Inc. He has consulted for and advised Tria Beauty. He is Chief Medical Officer of Acclaro, the maker of the UltraClear laser, and chairs its medical advisory board. He has taught hundreds of physicians to use lasers in medicine, has completed clinical studies on CO2 devices, and takes part in pivotal studies of the DermaV laser. He is often among the first to access new laser technologies. Firsts include bringing the first GentleMax Pro laser to the country, being one of the first US physicians to use the Wavelight Ruby laser for tattoo removal, being the first in the tri-state area to have the ConBio RevLite SI laser, and being the first physician worldwide to use AlexTrivantage. He published the first peer-reviewed manuscript on tattoo removal with the PicoWay laser, and he has been featured on the cover of the New York Times and interviewed by 20/20, CNN, NBC and NPR.
