Emily Kim founded The Beauty Slayyer and has worked in the beauty industry since 2015. She started out doing nails before moving into lash extensions, and lash work is central to her practice. She took a lash course in 2015 as her starting point. About two years after beginning lash work she added microblading, and she now specializes in both lash extensions and permanent makeup. To widen the services she offers, she traveled to the West Coast several times to learn from other artists and techniques, and she bought multiple online courses.
