Emily J. Kirby, MD

Emily J. Kirby, MD, owns and runs Kalos Medical Spa at Kirby Plastic Surgery in Fort Worth, where she is Medical Director and the physician supervising the spa's services on site. Board certified in plastic surgery with more than a decade of practice, she founded Kirby Plastic Surgery in 2011. She was once the first woman to serve as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Texas Health Resources Harris Methodist Hospital.

Her training started with a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine. A residency in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at the University of Kentucky came next, then a pediatric and craniofacial fellowship with the Craniofacial Foundation of Utah. Her board certification is from the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Her practice centers on aesthetics and patient safety, with particular attention to non-surgical cosmetic care. Licensed aestheticians, physician assistants and nurses work with her on the Kalos team. According to the site, she personally chooses every product and treatment on offer. She is an invited member of the Allergan Plastic Surgery Advisory Board and belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons and the American Medical Spa Association.
