Emily Forbes

Emily Forbes is a nurse practitioner with the practice, with over 20 years of professional experience. Her work has spanned cardiology, infectious disease, chronic disease management, women's health, and wellness and weight loss management.

She has taught nursing at several institutions. Her doctoral thesis examined ways to reduce hospital readmission rates through transitional care models for patients with post-acute needs. She also co-created a nationally launched medical trivia game called Who Calls the Shots?

Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winona State University, a dual program at the University of Minnesota that led to a Master of Science as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner and a Healthcare Administration degree in 2009, a post-master's Family Nurse Practitioner program at Hawaii Pacific University in 2010, and a Doctorate of Nurse Practice from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018.
