Ellen Springall

Ellen Springall owns The Wax Shack and Skin Care Studio in Poway, where she works as a licensed esthetician. She has been in the field since 1999, when she began as an independent contractor in full-service salons, concentrating on facials and waxing while building a client base over the next four years. She opened the studio in 2003 and added custom spray tanning in 2013. Her undergraduate work at Northwest Christian College, completed with honors, centered on speech communications, with psychology as a minor. She went back to school in 1998 to train in esthetics and received her license in June 1999. She keeps up her training through ongoing classes and hands-on skin care courses. She sits on the board of directors of the Le Tip San Diego North Chapter. Each client starts with a skin consultation so treatment can be matched to their needs. Ellen also offers specialty products for use at home to support professional services. The studio focuses on total skin care, along with waxing and spray tanning, for clients of all ages.
