About

Elizabeth S Lee, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery at ArtfulSurgery in Lafayette. She has run a private practice since 1998 and has been practicing for almost twenty-eight years. She brought her practice to Lafayette, and local voters have named her one of the East Bay's preferred plastic surgeons for more than ten years. Training began at Northwestern University, where she took part in the Honors Program in Medical Education and received her Doctor of Medicine from the Feinberg School of Medicine in June 1986. An internal medicine internship followed at The New York Hospital in Manhattan from 1986 to 1987, then a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center from 1992 to 1994. She completed a fellowship in hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery at the Buncke Clinic at Davies Medical Center in San Francisco, serving as chief fellow from 1995 to 1996. Her certifications include the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, where she is a diplomate after an earlier general surgery board certification. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, and is eligible for CAQ in Hand Surgery. Her cosmetic work spans a wide range of procedures, with each plan built around the patient's goals, whole face and anatomy, and medical history. She performs all of her dermal filler injections personally and often pairs fillers with Botox, Xeomin or Dysport for a refreshed look. Skin rejuvenation is tailored to each patient's natural features. She belongs to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, has presented at a California Society of Plastic Surgeons meeting, and has been a live television expert on KRON4's Body Beautiful since February 2009. In 1992 she co-authored an article in Annals of Vascular Surgery on conservative management of iatrogenic femoral arterial trauma. She also shares health tips and educational posts on Instagram.
