Edma owns Hair by Edma, which she took over in Medford in December 2024. She started in the beauty industry in 1997 and trained at SENAC in São Paulo, Brazil. She ran her own salon in São Paulo before relocating to Boston in 2004, and built her career there before taking on the Medford location. Her specialties include customized color, balayage, blonding, highlights, hair art and precision haircuts. She also works on Brazilian Keratin treatments, Hair Botox and healthy hair care, and has more than 25 years of experience.
