Dynese Marie

Dynese is the owner and founder of The Skin Liaison, where she works as an esthetician, acne specialist and holistic skin health practitioner. She has more than four decades of experience in the personal care industry. Her training includes the esthetician program at Universal Beauty Academy, completed in 1985, massage therapy training at Philip's School of Massage in 2001, and a Certified Acne Treatment Specialist certification from 2008. She also holds a BA in History from CSU Chico.

Beyond salon work, she has more than five years of teaching experience in adult education and as a K-12 substitute. She holds certificates from hundreds of hours of postgraduate advanced training, attends the Northern CA Face and Body Conference & Expo and the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa each year, and has attended a conference of the American Academy of Dermatology. She continues with education courses to keep current on skin care techniques and products. She is a member of NASN, NCEA, SDSS, Associated Skin Care Professionals, Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and the California Aesthetic Alliance, and is a past member of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.

She focuses on acne treatment for adults and for teens, and also offers facials, sugaring, brow work, massage and skin treatments. She explains what each treatment involves and why, with education before and after treatments, and recommends products selectively to suit each client's skin. Clients describe her as welcoming to first-time visitors, knowledgeable, attentive and someone who takes the time to learn each client's needs.
