About
Dustin Reid, MD, FACS, is one of two plastic surgeons practicing at Restora Austin Plastic Surgery Centre in Austin, Texas. He holds board certification from both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His aesthetic surgery work covers the face, breast, body and nose, and he also performs hair restoration. Most of his operations take place at Inspire Surgery Centre, and he holds full staff privileges at all local Austin hospitals. Reid earned a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from Texas Tech University and finished first in his class at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Surgical training followed: a five-year general and trauma surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was chief resident, then a three-year plastic surgery residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was chief resident during the final year. He trained under plastic surgery leaders at Emory University. With Ashley Gordon, MD, FACS, he developed the Restora Austin Tummy Tuck 360, and the two often work together on cases, combining their experience. Reid serves on the Mentor LEAD Council and Sientra's Advisory Panel, both of which advise on breast augmentation. He speaks nationally on several aesthetic topics, is often quoted in the media on developments in plastic surgery, and is an expert contributor on RealSelf.com. He has taken part in volunteer mission trips to less-developed countries, repairing cleft lips, cleft palates and complex craniofacial anomalies in newborns and children. The Austin Area Association of OR Nurses nominated him as a Distinguished Surgeon. Castle Connolly and US News & World Report named him one of the Top Plastic Surgeons in Austin, one of three physicians so honored. Plastic Surgery Practice has consistently named him one of the Best Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeons, and he is an expert injector of toxins and dermal fillers. He belongs to the Rhinoplasty Society, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Austin Smiles. Patient testimonials on the site describe him as compassionate and clear in explaining options and answering questions at consultation. One patient testimonial describes a breast augmentation that met expectations.
