About
Dr. Zelda Harding owns Zelda's Hair Clinic and holds a Master's Certification in Trichology from the International Institute of Trichology, received in 2007, along with a cosmetology license received in 1976. Her work spans cosmetology, trichology, functional nutrition, education, research and salon ownership, and she opened her first salon in 1987. She has over 30 years of experience in hair and scalp care. She trained at the International Institute of Trichology and completed an advanced course at the International School of Trichology (IAHM) that covers polarized microscopy for hair analysis. She completed certification in functional nutrition, with a functional nutrition course finished in 2022, and works as a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner. She is currently studying in the Evidence-Based Hair Fellowship under Dr. Jeff Donovan. She also completed the CITI Program, a Chicago State University requirement that allows her to assist with hair loss research alongside Dr. Crystal E. Porter, PhD. She trained at Dudley Cosmetology University. Her hair loss work centers on personalized restoration plans for hair loss, alopecia, thinning, shedding and scalp disorders. Assessments combine a medical form, a visual exam, a microscopic evaluation and a client consultation. She looks at hair loss through an epigenetic lens, considering both genetics and environment.
