Dr. Yasmin Amir

Yasmin Amir is a board-certified dermatologist offering general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City with Phi Beta Kappa honors, majoring in neuroscience and behavior, and then attended medical school at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

She completed her residency at Mount Sinai, where she was chief resident in her final year. During medical school she devoted a full year to dermatology research, helping run clinical trials of biologic drugs for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. She has written several peer-reviewed publications covering a range of skin diseases.

Her practice spans general medical dermatology, cosmetic work, and treatment of acne, rosacea, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, along with skin cancer detection and prevention. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Texas Medical Association, and she practices as a physician at Warthan Amir Dermatology.
